The Texas Success Initiative (TSI) is a statewide program created by the Texas State Legislature that helps ensure that all incoming college students are prepared for college-level reading, writing and math.
Incoming college students in Texas are required to demonstrate readiness for college-level work in basic skills areas. The TSI Assessment is just one way students can do so. All incoming students do not have to take the TSI Assessment. Visit our TSI exemptions page to determine your exemption status.
