Time Budget Sheet

We only have 168 hours each week. Planning and managing your time is crucial to juggling a busy schedule in college. Use this sheet to prioritize how you will spend your time each week. Write the name of the activity in the left-hand column then the amount of time you plan to spend on that activity over a 7-day period. Include activities like:

  • time spent in class
  • meals
  • studying
  • exercise
  • sleep
  • family time
  • job
  • chores/personal hygiene
  • religious/spiritual activities
  • doctor's appointments
  • organizational meetings
  • downtime/socializing/general recreation

When you're finished, add the total hours from the right-hand column together then subtract that from 168. Is your final number positive or negative? Positive indicates you have left over time each week; negative indicates you can't fit all your activities into one week.
